Let me know, please

Alkaa taas viikonlopun vietto ja päivitykset tyssää siihen, niin postaanpa tällaisen:

If this is all you understand from my weblog and you’d like to have more of this, let me know. Just leave me a message that should I start to write my posts in English, or just stick with Finnish and keep hoping my non-Finnish readers can get along with band names and song titles.

Faktahan on, että suurinosa kävijöistä osaa suomea, joten mitään järkeä ei olisi englanniksi kirjoittaa. Koetanpa vaan taas saada ne kuusi lukijaani (miinus Aki) herätellyksi…

  1. Stick in Finnish, please. Ei jaksa kuluttaa aikaansa miettimällä mitä vittua tuokin sana tarkoittaa.. Jokainen minuutti on tärkeä!

  2. 1 vote for english
us dumb americans have no chance with suomi

  3. what eva …molemmat menee (luulisin)

  4. Okey. Result seems to be one vote for Finnish, one for English and one ignorant vote for both.

My decision is as follows: I’ll keep writing my posts in Finnish, because that’s the easiest and most natural way for me. And the fact remains that more than eight out of ten visitors are from Finland.

But I also have this plan to give - especially- Finnish bands a bit of boost to get better recognition among the non-Finnish speaking readers. That’s why I’ve decided to start include short English briefings at the end of posts that I think need one. I hope this decision would raise the interest of my foreign readers to give some good Finnish bands a go.

    Happy now?

I’m deeply touched by this. Tis truly a democracy.

  6. Sorry. I realised after posting that it should’ve been “arrogant” instead of “ignorant”. Maybe this lil’ fuck up underlines the fact I should continue mostly in Finnish.
