Kuusumun Profeetta - “Syysaika” mp3

Kuusumun Profeetta - “Syysaika” mp3

Kuusumun Profeetta’s last album Sanansaattaja Oraakkeli Salamurha Hyökkäysvaunu (translates roughly into Messenger Oracle Assassination Armoured Car) will mostly likely stay in the history of music as the best Finnish heavy rock album ever released. That magical release was done way over the top, but it still was well-controlled all the way.

Kuusumun Profeetta never release the same album twice. First mp3 release from the new album Hymyilevien laivojen satama (The Harbour of Smiling Ships) proves exactly that. “Syysaika” - “Autumn” - is relaxed, out-of-this-world music with great instrumentation and the distinct vocals of Mika Rättö (some of you may know him from Circle). Don’t mind if you don’t get anything out of the Finnish lyrics, this is all about the atmosphere.

  1. Do mind if you dont get anything out from the finnish lyrics! The lyrics are the most essential in this music! The instrumentation is just makin a context for the Mika Rättös profecies and somewhat absurd and higly symbolic and pretentious lyrics with philosofical themes. Allso the language that he uses is most extrodinary and very finely tuned to exactly express his thougts and to awaken vast chains of thought and associations. “Syysaika” is about Time and Autumn that are sitting at a pond talking about their faiths that neither is satisfied with. Then a glass doll comes to tell them not to waste thei moment wishing for another. It is all very tragical ang vey beutiful and if one does not understand the lyrics one can not nearly grasp the unimaginable width and depth of it.
