Lordi made its way to Eurovision Song Contest

Lordi - “Hard Rock Hallelujah” video

Watch out, grannies of the Europe, take a look at this. In this year’s Eurovision Song Contest monstereous hard rock band Lordi will perform as Finland’s contestant with their song “Hard Rock Hallelujah”. Lordi made its way to the finals in Athens, Greece (sometime mid-May, I guess) through the voting that took place yesterday, gathering around 67 000 votes which is 20 000 more than the runner-up got.

For some (obvious) reasons Finns have never had any sort of success in Eurovision Song Contest, and still we have the power to raise up hope every year we get a chance to participate. I’m so happy that this year we have a song that should get noticed, both in good and bad, and not some lame, generetic and soulless shit that’s so expected from the Finns. To get the picture, look at this picture from last year. Why?

This thing ain’t the biggest thing in the life of a man, but I at least need some bling bling between the Carcass and GYBE CDs and it might as well be the Eurovision Song Contest. At least it isn’t as nerve-wrecking as are the hockey finals against Sweden.
