Suffocate For Fuck Sake - EP

Suffocate For Fuck Sake are Swedish, that I know. And that their chosen band name is misleading at best. Still, their four-song, 38-minute EP from 2004 is a total killer release. I just downloaded it, I make quick judgments here, but to give a comparison, since From Now On’s demo I haven’t heard anything that would sound even remotely this convincing at the first listen.

SFFS’s EP combines post-hardcore with ambient, post-rock atmospheres. Like they say, it’s Breach, Cult Of Luna, Mogwai and Sigur Ros all played at the same time. Inbetween songs there are Swedish medical (?) interviews of a character named Hans, which gives this release an extra twist of absurdity.

If there’s anyone reading this who know more about the band, email me. I need to know.
