Diskonto - “Vagt Motstand” mp3
“Our complete discography is available as mp3s here. Just spread them around. Fuck copyright, fuck commersialism! Click the record titles for more info about every release.”
Diskonto = Swedish hardcore/crust.
Their complete discography = 1994 - 2005, 4 EPs, 2 splits, one 12″, 4 albums and one live album. That is generous.

Pofony - “Myth Of Blooming” mp3
Finnish metal band of sorts, Pofony, have released their debut album Cure Of Another Kind in their website. Good decision promotion-wise. I am 100% sure Pofony will get hundreds more listeners this way, which may pay off later in their career.

Osasto 11 - “Tuhlajuhla” mp3
Osasto 11 - “Karpo” mp3
That’s quite a lot of words in that ten seconds what is Osasto 11’s song “Tuhlajuhla”. Their ten-song cd-r is seven minutes and 45 seconds, so they keep it quite short in general as well. Hardcore punk rock is what they play with nice lyrics. All ten songs can be downloaded from their site.
Thanks to Harri for introducing this band to me.

By Heart - “The Astronaut” mp3
My friend for the last 15 minutes have been By Heart and their option for free downloading of their debut album Exit Signs. I haven’t posted this sort of indie-esque rock for long time and would have the first impressions been given in any other form, I’d propably have taken this band as too pop-orientated. Anyway, at least the first three tracks are catchy as hell. A day-saver.
By Heart is currently working their way out for the success of sorts. They’ve relocated to Berlin (they’re *drumroll* Swedes) and are playing shows at any chance given. That’s commitment, right? Also the fact that they sold 1 200 copies of Exit Signs on first five shows speaks for itself.

Milhaven - I.M. Wagner EP
Definitely a post-rock band, Milhaven returns with a brand new EP I.M. Wagner. Four tracks and 42 minutes - and like always the ab fab 12rec gives it for free download. I’m now listening to it for the second time and I’d say it’s less rough than what Bars closing down was, but in turn it gives rather great atmosphere build-ups and keeps the arch of drama well together. 12rec’s cd-r version costs € 5, so I guess it’s not a problem for anybody to buy this if you find those tracks even remotely interesting.

Vene - “Maanantaikappale” mp3
Vene (a boat) could be the future of Finnish noiserock. At least their debut album Pimeä puoli (Dark side) is a raw sonic punishment with enough wit to keep it interesting. Plus 15 songs in 17 minutes is always reasonable length for a debut album.
Band’s demo tape from earlier this year should be available for free download (zip) from their site, as well some other cuts from the album.
